ROAD CONNECTION TO SOUTH DALMATIA

Goran Puž works as a Head of the Office of the Management Board of Hrvatske ceste d.o.o., the Croatian national manager of road network. He is mostly involved in projects related to roads and bridges. Prior to his engagement by Hrvatske ceste d.o.o., he has worked in Institute IGH d.d., Zagreb, from 2008. to 2017., on various projects related to construction design and as a Quality Manager and a person responsible for IGH Certification. From 2004. until 2008. he was employed in the company Hrvatske autoceste d.o.o., as a director of the Sector for Development, Technical Regulation and Technology. Before that, from 1991., he worked at Faculty of Civil engineering on University of Zagreb, as a research novice and assistant. He made his PhD degree in 2005. with thesis related to the time durability of bridges. After leaving the faculty, he continued with the work in education, as a honorary lecturer and as assistant professor. On the University North in Varaždin, he teaches Earthquake engineering and Bridges. He is the co-author of over 100 professional and scientific papers in periodicals, proceedings and books, university scripts and several monographs on roads and infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.

Dr Stasha Jovanovic is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia and founder and principal consultant in the consultancy companies EURO RAIL CONSULT and LOGITRANS, in Belgrade, Serbia. Dr Jovanovic finished his Ph.D. study at the Technical University Delft in the Netherlands and collaborated with more than 30 railways world-wide. He developed the two integrated Railway Asset Management SYStems - “RAMSYS” for Mermec, Italy and AMA (Automated Maintenance Advisor) for Ensco, USA; implemented at a multitude of railways worldwide. Stasha Jovanovic has had more than 100 publications on various railway engineering issues, in most important Railway Magazines, like Rail International (Schienen der Welt), International Railway Journal, Railway Gazette, Rail Technology Magazine, as well as at various railway related conferences organized by UIC, IHHA, TRB, AREMA, etc.
